In Loving Memory - Daniel "Ryan" Ellsworth

Our nephew, Ryan, passed away in his sleep on January 26, 2008 due to complications from diabetes and the flu. Ryan had just received his mission call, days before his passing, to serve in the Atlanta, Georgia mission. He is now serving a heavenly mission. At Ryan's funeral the entire stake center was overflowing. Ryan lived a life that was more fulfilling at his young age then some people in their 30's and 40's have even lived. He stood for truth and righteousness and believed in being a friend to anyone at all times. One story, shared at his funeral caught my heartstrings inparticular. Ryan had been working at an auto mechanic shop, but never seemed to have money. He would ask his parents for money and they would ask him what he was doing with his money! Come to find out, Ryan had been giving his entire pay checks to a woman in their ward who had very meager financial assistance and he decided to help her fill her cupboards then have his own pay check for himself. That is just one of many examples shared of Ryan. He loved children, he had a smile that lite up his entire face and a constant desire to do good. He did not have a mean bone in his body and was extremely forgiving. Ryan was a mighty warrior!
